Judy Asti (1952-2007) was an award-winning advertising copywriter, short story writer and published essayist when she was diagnosed with stage-three breast cancer in July, 1998.  During the following year she underwent aggressive chemotherapy, mastectomy surgery, additional chemotherapy, radiation treatments and reconstruction surgery.  Just as she was nearing the finish line of cancer treatments she was fired from her job as Copywriting Director of a successful Detroit-area advertising agency.  In 2001, Judy was declared free of breast cancer, only to have bone cancer occur in 2004.  Judy went home to be with the Lord in the summer of 2007 and is survived by her husband and three sons.
